If it is a website, I build the whole thing and hand it over working. If it is a system that has started eating your week, the useful first move is usually to describe the week rather than the system. If it is neither, say hello anyway.

There is no rate card here because I have never quoted anything without asking questions first. Tell me what you are trying to do and I will tell you what it would take.

I'm Joe. I make psychological drawings about ordinary places that have become impossible, and I build websites for people who need the thing to work after I leave.

By day I work in neurosciences. Outside that, I draw, write and build. The drawings are full of routines, systems and people failing to notice one another. The web work is less bleak, usually, but it begins with the same habit of looking at what people are actually doing rather than what the diagram says they do.

I work directly with independents, small teams, trades and grassroots clubs. No account manager, because there is no account manager. If a person cannot understand the page, use the form or update the thing after handover, I have not finished it.
